Paradise Theatre

Client: Paradise Theatre
Studio: Sovereign State
Interior: Solid Design
Project Scope: Environments / Wayfinding

The Paradise Theatre has been on the block since 1937. It’s had it’s peek-a-boo return instances throughout the years, but this newest, latest and most hyped-up rebirth of the iconic Bloorcourt theatre has the community of Toronto locked in and excited. After almost three years of paperwork, construction and all of the collective labour, The Paradise is back, better than ever.

As I jumped onto the Sovereign State team in the summer of 2018, the studio had just been wrapping up the initial rebranding phase of Paradise Theatre. My task was to help imbue the new and improved branding into the space by way of environmental design and wayfinding.

The AODA compliant figures, arrows and signage throughout the entire Paradise space (theatre, restaurant and bar) are custom designed to honour the Art Deco look, and guide patrons with an inclusive, contemporary feel.
