Dillon’s Small Batch Distillers has earned a notable reputation for their tasteful, crafted gin and spirits. Sovereign State was tasked with naming, and designing a label for a limited batch of Vodka and Gin, sold exclusively at the CN Tower’s 360 Restaurant.
Although the label designs shown here were not the final selected direction for the small batch run, I am proud to show these as runner-up designs. Upon much research and naming rationale, we worked collaboratively with the CN Tower team to land on the name ‘Elevations’. These graphic concepts took a contemporary artistic direction, with a nod to animals native to Ontario to give a sophisticated sense of cheekiness. We also implemented subtle topographic forms as the foundation of the label to represent height and land to reinforce the notion of height and elevation.
